Environmental Researcher and Engineer
About Me
I am Dr. Ashish Kumar an Environmental Researcher and Engineer with a Ph.D. and M.Tech. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. My research specializes in the development of advanced materials, particularly graphene-based composites and electroconductive membranes for sustainable water and wastewater treatment. My work integrates environmental nanotechnology, membrane technologies, electrochemical oxidation processes, and the valorization of waste into functional materials. During my doctoral research, I developed and electrochemically characterized heteroatom-engineered laser-induced graphene materials for the removal of emerging micropollutants.
I have authored peer-reviewed articles in many international journals such as ACS, RSC, and Elsevier, and contributed to international conferences including GRC Membranes 2024 and IWA ecoSTP 2023. I am also a co-inventor on two patents focused on development of graphene-based composites in easy single step. Through my work, I aim to contribute to the development of energy-efficient, scalable technologies for cleaner water and a healthier environment.
